I paint these faces as an act of introspection and inner silence. The figures appear with their eyes closed or covered because they are not meant to look outward, but to inhabit their own emotional world. The yellow background represents energy, life, and awareness—a space where emotions can surface freely.
I work with warm skin tones and organic layers to express humanity, vulnerability, and strength at the same time. The textures surrounding the faces symbolize thoughts, memories, and inner processes that are not always clear, yet shape who we are. The gesture of the finger over the lips speaks of conscious silence, of the pause needed to truly listen to oneself.
This work emerges from a desire to reconnect with what is essential: to feel, to be still, to look inward, and to accept what exists within that intimate space where no one else can enter.
